I think I remember reading somewhere that if you're listening to music while listening to subs, you can have the music be louder and still have the subs registering, if you're using ultrasonic vs masked. In other words, if I'm listening to music while listening to ultrasonic subs, I can have the volume of the music be louder and the subs will still be effective; on the other hand, if I'm listening to masked, I will have to turn the music down to make the masked subs effective.
Is this true? Am I remembering correctly? I am a producer, and sometimes need to turn up the volume of music somewhat loud; not concert or big house party loud, but pretty loud. But since ultrasonics are way above what frequency is heard in music, is loud music ok, since the ultrasonics is being heard in the brain in a totally different frequency range than the music?
