Problems with the Alveolar-trill /r/ seams quite common and holds people (me anyways) back while studying languages and socially.
By lengthening the thin sheet of flesh (lingual frenum, or frenulum) that connects the underside of the tongue to bottom of the mouth, the range and mobility of the tongue is increasing and provides greater chance for succeed with the trembling/rolling/trilling /r/s.
