Blackdragon doesn't have a real sales page vibe because he is a newbie internet marketer and that's why his book is 9 dollars instead of 67.
If you vibe with the info and it helps you out in life though that's all that matters.
Ever since David DeAngelo (not his real name) started going by the name Eben Pagan (More than likely also not his real name) basically saying he scammed the fu*k out of everyone because he has a deep understanding of psychology he started making 20 million a year and now he teaches people how he did it, and since he did it with dating advice, now all of a sudden everyone and their mom is a 'master pua' with their little blog and e-mail list lol.
Even though David DeAngelo is a huge phony and a poser, I did get some solid info from him that he got from other places, but it doesn't matter if he is a chode telling me rehashed sh*t because the info was still good for where i was at in life at the time, and if I didn't find him I would have never found any of that info I never even knew it existed. (I was 17, 27 now).
I think it's good to learn from different pua's, the phonies and the real deals, and just taking in what you vibe with and what works for you in your life, and throwing out the rest.
But, reading about pua and 'becoming alpha' should be an extremely small focus in life especially when we have these subs, that stuff doesn't even matter. Nobody is like certified in what alpha is and how to become it or anything or certified in knowing what attracts women, it's just a bunch of internet marketers saying their view points, and for the most part they're just rehashing other peoples view points.
When there's a goldmine, all the internet marketers will be there telling you they have the secret you've been looking for.
The thing about these guys you need to be careful of and any internet marketer for that matter is that they are marketers, they are not gurus. If you want to better understand them search for "black hat marketing" on Google and read some of the ideas/strategies many guys have for making a quick buck online.
By the way, I feel like I hear David's voice on almost ANY ad on the internet and they annoy the hell out of me.
But in all seriousness some of the things I saw involved strategies such as:
-Finding good pick-up forums with lots of users and success stories... find out what they did... write a book/guide on it copying that information... rinse-repeat until you have a legitimate guide that solves a lot of guys' needs. Sell it.
-Write long content blurbs filled with lots of testimonials (grabbing stock photos from dealers OR even worse... steal them from Facebook), and most importantly find the best way to trigger someone's emotions and show your product as a solution towards it.
-Bold/highlight specific words that should stand out such as FREE, SEX, INSTANTLY, AMAZING.
-Take a bunch of random shit you either find or take from your book that you can package into an e-book. Give it away for free. This gets people to think you're an awesome person giving stuff away but also make them interested in buying more because their FREE set leaves you hanging to need the rest.
-The number one key is all the information is available on the internet for FREE, a good internet marketer finds that information, consolidates it, and markets it as their own. (You don't have to be an expert on the information, you just have to know where to find it).
And then you have other guys who do know their shit and try to do their own business but they don't understand internet marketing in that way... or maybe they have some slight knowledge on it.
Cory Skyy was like this too. His old site featured a forum of guys that wanted to self-improve, like here. Eventually he abolished the forum and articles and every month or so he experiments with a different landing/sales page to get people to sign up for his class. Though, I have yet to see any new testimonials from him in 3-4 years.
Subliminals and Cory's program however are much much harder to sell. For one, most people will be closed minded towards them or really think it's too good to be true. On the other, people want quick result / a magic pill.
It's all very much planned and scientific. Though I will say not all of them are bad people. There are great people who use these marketing techniques to really give great information/products.
One of which is an online class I'm taking for game development. It's setup the same way but the material is amazing and these marketers really research.
Others, however, have no ability to research or really put effort into it, it's all about quick money. And that's why you see a bunch of dudes pretending to be hot women on Facebook adding you, or why you get a bunch of YOU WON $$$ e-mails, or even those ads that say Enter our drawing for FREE. They are doing what others have succeeded with quickly, but these guys still believe they will continue to work, which they don't, usually they are new to marketing. You can usually find the EASY, QUICK BUCK methods on these black hat forums which give newbies step-by-step detailed instructions on how many money doing it. That's why it's so saturated. Many of the hottest topics include weight loss, sex, and most importantly, dating.
I agree on it all.
I'll always be a student of the game but I think it's important to know 100% if the person you're learning from is actually living the life they're trying to teach you how to get.
Like you said, pretty much, the real gurus actually have crazy mad skill, and the internet marketers will find info from the gurus, and from people they think are gurus and they package up the info all nice and neat and in their own words and it turns into a game of telephone where the solid info gets lost in a bunch of magic pill fluff.
(I never read anything by Blackdragon btw so I have no opinion on him just thought I should mention it because my little rant came from him lol. He could be very legit for all I know)
I wasted a lot of time throughout the last ten years chasing a secret that doesn't exist and avoiding the truth about the situation.
