I was thinking the other day that aside from my desire to have a really superb organised mind, I would love to be able just to have the will, patience and dedication required to master my craft and the skills required for my career. I don't think you can ever reach perfection, but to have the tools to stick at the process and make rapid and unending progress would be so valuable.
A sub dedicated to craft/skill mastery would be great, I'd imagine it would have some of the following attributes.
Strong desire to master a chosen/defined skill or set of skills
Patience in seeking daily improvement
Ability to break through plateaus
Laziness killer
deep fascination with the craft
ability to balance obsession with rest of life
rapid learning, speed of progress enhancer
rapid integration to unconscious competence
Confidence in using and teaching skills
Deep focus
Innovation in practice (thinking of new ways to practice which make advancement in skill better, i.e. desire to practice under more strenuous conditions)
