MLS: Learning or understanding too?

Hey all just a quick question.

I'm going to be starting MLS very soon for university.

Its the sub most of you here have told me to use.

I know it helps with learning and recall but does it help with understanding of material too? Or just learning like a robot?

Well, if you can recall more, there is a bigger chance you comprehend more, cause you have a bigger base of knowledge.

A more interesting question would be: Does it also help to internalize subs more quickly or does it have no effect cause the subconscious always works at the same speed?

I see what you mean and that's a good question and in theory you'd think it would help with further subs too
