Isn't fear useless? So what if they throw it out for that reason. It's the same as any other reason they throw it out for... the end result is that they threw it out. But they might not; you can't project that onto them. They make their choices for their own reasons. In the end, fear is useless, because it is simply a numbers game when you are applying for a job. Do you feel fear when you roll the dice and you don't get the result you wanted? Why would you fear that your CV will be tossed for that reason then? Just get it out there to 10 times as many different places. It's just a numbers game... until and unless you are self employed, of course.
