This is so true.
I just tried recently to help a girl I know with a sub. She was into it, then quickly decided inventing reasons why she can't get it to work, can't download it properly...blah blah. Quick enough to whine about her problems endlessly, but ultimately take zero action to deal with them.
I told myself once again, that I won't bother to bring anyone to subs. I believe that almost always, when people whine about something but do nothing to change it, they just want attention and validation and want to play the victim. They don't actually want help to deal with the actual issue. I won't waste my time anymore. Sounds harsh, but I've wasted enough time being the nice guy to know it's pointless and merely an exercise in frustration.
