I'm disappointed with the release. They claim that some of their users could be at risk due to using the same password on the ETN site as they did on websites that were breached back in the day. That seems silly, let the stupid people lose their ETN, but no instead they are shutting down to become more secure and consequently users can't sell their etn, only mined etn can be sold, and the price is tanking.

Being a long term user I am confident they will sort out the security 'problem' and I know the price will go back up, but meanwhile it is not good publicity.

I guess they don't want the other kind of bad publicity.
Even if it's not their fault if the email account got hacked some people just don't understand or are too lazy to check who mess up.
For most common people if it got hacked it means it's not safe.
Newspapers then or some wiki thread edited by some competition can say it's not safe as they got hacked the first day. I read a lot of alt coin story and bitcoin story and often it works like that, the user can't handle their coin and the crypto safety is blamed for that. This is basic propaganda strategy that is used to make crypto look unsafe.

On the other hand thanks to these few days the difficulty to mine the coin didn't go up as fast.

Do you mine the coin Cyanide?

I just ordered a new computer with a RX 580 to mine the coin. I think there is some money to make if the coin value goes up.
Some are complaining it's hard to mine at 30ETN a day at 300h/s but if the value of the coin goes up fast it's going to be a different story.

Just changed mining pools from the official to two different ones. I'll see how these work out

Well I'm not surprised it's going to be hard to mine ET . Look at bitcoin now. In the early days one could mine 1000 in a matter of hours. Now, no one is fool enough to mine it with a computer.

Gpu mining is best, but a good cpu is fine too.
Vega cards are the best, hashrate is around 1900h/s for both vega 54 and 64 if you mod the bios.

It's for monero but it's the same hashrate for electroneum as they use the same algorithm.

So is this trend going to continue where the rate mined keeps decreasing or will it revert back at some point?

I'm assuming the decrease is due to the increase in difficulty for solving blocks

So what is going on with this coin?, i mined a couple, but i've been checking threads out and there is a lot of bitching going on, specially from those that invested in the ICO.

Also i have not encountered 1 single reason why this coin is anyway different than the thousands of other alt coins out there that are basicly just pump & dumps

Bitching is everywhere on this forum yet it's still the best source of subliminal that I know of.
It's a bit different than the other it's based on (monero) and very different than bitcoin.
