I havent actually changed anything, my behaviour is the same since I came to IML 3years ago. My travels, the jet lag from the back and forth, the stressful UK lifestyle I have and the procrastinatory tendencies I have here in europe - its all the same.

I have felt its taken me longer to get over the jet lag this time around but my goal is to get the 5 loops in 1 way or another and slowly correct my sleep cycle and thats happening.

I cant see how my behaviour has changed intentionally however my procrastination is the same towards the sub yes, whether it was 3 loops or 5. Considering I find it easier to get 5-6hours of sleep than 8 anyway then its logical to see that I would find getting in 3 loops far easier than 5 especially when 5 equals to 5hrs and 40mins.

I see my ability to play the 5loops right now more of a success for me than the opposite.

Jet lag? I'm confused.. it's only a 2 hour difference from your country and London?

RE: Jake's **UMOP** - 5 LOOPS - Jake2015 - 10-11-2018

Day 25 - Thursday 11th Oct 2018
(Time: 6.03pm) - (Cycle 3 - Day7 - 5 Loops)

I hadnt realised but its been 7 days on 5 loops and now I will have my 2 day break.

I woke up after my 6hours sleep and after listening to my 5loops.

Got to uni at 8.30am and got back home around 11am, and been feeling sleepy ever since I got back.

I have procrastinated away from anything academic. I have been sleepy and lazy but then got into gear to research some heaters I may need this coming winter and then to do some financial budget planning ive avoided since yesterday.

I realise that having a big breakfast probably contributed to the food coma I have been feeling as well, so cannot put it all down to the procrastination demon.

I also realise that whenever I come home, I then get lazy or tired.

I was on adrenalin all morning but got home and just wanted to sleep.

I will now eat, relax, get my bag ready for tomorrow and then aim to sleep by 9pm so that I can wake up with 9hours sleep I hope.

Overall summer from 9 days of 5 loops and 25days of UMOP is nothing unfortunately so far.

Yes it is but I have covered this in my previous posts and not gone into too much detail for other reasons, suffice to say that I wouldn't mention something if it wasn't necessary.

If you haven't seen any change, then here's what's happening.

At the subconscious level, you are adapting to everything you try and use consciously to maintain the status quo of nothing changing.

I made a post not too long ago about how change is the only constant, and anything that is not changing is creating change to maintain status, and thus, changing in a different way.

I understand but can UMOP break through this with the 5loops?

If you suggest I jump to a new sub cos of the anti fear then I will otherwise I'll remain on UMOP and keep going.

I'm not giving up!

According to the models, you will do well to keep going at 5 loops a day. They seem pretty set on that answer, so I guess keep going.

RE: Jake's **UMOP** - 5 LOOPS - Jake2015 - 10-13-2018

Day 27 - Saturday 13th Oct 2018
(Time: 11.53pm) - (Cycle 3 - 2nd Day Break - 5 Loops)

Today is the 2nd and last day of break and then I am starting Cycle 4 of 7 days.

I have been on 5 loops for 7 days (1 cycles so far) and the previous 1 loops for 14days (2 cycles) - this is to help me and others calculate as we go along. i.e. 2 cycles of 1 loop and future cycles are 5loops. - ill add this to my signature actually to help me.

I have had a very busy week and a very busy day yesterday.

Yesterday was day 1 of my break and I managed to get to sleep at 11pm and wake yesterday at 6.30am which is better in the number of hours sleep I am hoping to get to per day (9-10hrs) - my average so far could be around 5-6hrs.

Yesterday I got home around 9.30pm (my goal is to sleep around 9-9.30pm) so this was missed however I hoped to be in bed by 11pm. Instead I had to deal with long phone calls with 2 members of my family yesterday which both exhausted me and somewhat stressed me out.

My only resort to this was to try and get to sleep but instead I was again on the phone to others and thus stayed up then got hungry and stayed up even longer.

I slept late, no idea what time and woke up today around 1-2pm.

TODAY has been a terribly slow, lazy boring day.

I ate breakfast late and then had a cup of tea with a snickers chocolate bar (I am not endorsing this or any brand of chocolate - feel free to eat others at your pleasure or avoid if you want to have a healthy life lol). This may have led to a sugar crash in my system (in hindsight I say this) but basically I was fed up, lazy and bored.

I became completely lazy and I wont say down as in depressive but just apathetic, with no motivation at all.

I have felt like this all evening.

I only in the last hour got some motivation to finally do 1 out of the 3 washing machine loads of laundry I have to do - after a week of uni basically.

I also washed dishes too and tidied up by throwing away rubbish into the trash bag (for you US members lol).

Overall though I have not been hungry and its now 11.58pm and the desire to sleep is not there.

In SUMMARY - the procrastination and lack of motivation is still there if not stronger.

Addendum: Even though today I have lacked motivation and have procrastination too, I do want to say that the previous days I think I had motivation but had procrastination. So this time I have a double negative it seems and thus regressed.

Seeing from Shannon's Journal Volume 2 entry https://subliminal-talk.com/Thread-Men-s-Journals-Shannon-s-Journal-Volume-2-?pid=207811#pid207811 :
Quote:H&C vs FRM Explained, 101

Its clear that all previous subs for me didnt work even though the hype and hope that H&C would work was there. I know E2 may have worked for some but it never worked for me and so far I had hoped by now something would have. Therefore I am hoping that this new FRM is the solution for us all.

I see all subs here at IML as experimental. Even though DMSI is the only one that is highlighted as experimental I do realise that each sub is in itself an experiment and im proud to be a member of this journey with Shannon in helping to make his subs the life changers he and we all want them to be.

So I will persist with the 5 loops even though today I have had a negative rather than positive step, ie back not forward I feel but I will persist until either my 3months with this sub is over to see if it has started to work on me or until Shannon himself says to me that its time to test out the FRM.

Heres to us all - cheers Drinks

RE: Jake's **UMOP** - 5 LOOPS - Jake2015 - 10-13-2018

Addendum part 2 to go with the update above:

Im adding this here in a new post incase anyone has read the above and misses any extra highlights from me.

I realise now thanks to maybe this sub or simply thanks to all the posts and insights from shannon over the years that yes I do believe that I use porn and fap as a way to procrastinate as well as avoid the work and tasks I need to do and face.

I also feel now that eating, moving and working slow at a task and listening to music whilst working (yes even this at times, not always but at times) have been ways to procrastinate.

I could be wrong but today I feel the aboves may be true and may be true for me.

I hope in some way all this and above data is helping. thanks for reading.

RE: Jake's **UMOP** - 5 LOOPS - cataleya - 10-13-2018

I still think you need to fix your sleeping schedule first. You are all over the place. I recommend you watch/listen to a Joe Rogan podacast intervew with Matthew Walker on the topic of sleep. If this interview doesn`t make you want to fix your sleeping schedule, nothing will.

RE: Jake's **UMOP** - 5 LOOPS - Jake2015 - 10-13-2018

Addendum part 3:

I knew there was 1 more thing I had forgotten and couldnt remember - but I realise now due to something a member wrote on shannons discussion thread, that basically if we are listening and we are not changing then its a fear. I realise now that call it fear or any other name, there is something inside that is resisting changing the way we want to.

I hope in my case this can be overcome!

You're welcome Smile to me your bad sleeping schedule is just another form od procrastination. If you don't go to sleep on time or wake up on time then you lose a half a day so you "can't" get anything done. If you sleep only 5 hours then you're tired so you again can't get anything done.
