RE: Ultra Sonic volume question - Benjamin - 01-04-2018

Quote:Sometimes I hear static when I listen to the FLAC version of DMSI on my iPhone. I use VLC player, which has a great reputation overall. The static sound usually occurs at the beginning of the recording and then subsides about 15 seconds in.

That shouldn't happen. It should just play as normal. Though I don't know much about Iphones so i'm not sure what to suggest. Have you tried another app?

I now use Flacbox on my iPhone, never had problems but I only listen to trickling stream.

I've read this thread and I still have questions. I'm using AM6 ultrasonic and I can set the volumes between the PC and bluetooth speaker accordingly so that the speaker has -30db peak at the source(phone mic touching the speaker). But when I back away the phone mic to where I will be sleeping, the subliminal dies down in the range of -70 to -50. Is that enough to hear the sub?

RE: Ultra Sonic volume question - Benjamin - 05-14-2018

Seems like you're making it a bit complicated. If you follow the instructions of setting the volume by first using a masked version so it's at a comfortable volume from where you are listening then you will be fine.

RE: Ultra Sonic volume question - iiXeno - 05-14-2018

I did that, made sure the lowest parts of the ocean mp3 were heard at a minimal level, seemed too quiet which made me think ultrasonic would be too quiet. Paid big money for the program, just want to make sure I'm not playing it too high or low to maximize effectiveness.

RE: Ultra Sonic volume question - Benjamin - 05-15-2018

Well if it's too quiet then have it at a higher volume, that's why you test with masked first.
