Suggestion - Abbreviated product name on billing statement
This idea just came into my head after reading another post just now in this same section of the forum -

Rather than have the full title name of the product that is purchased, perhaps the store's official abbreviation or code could be used in future on the PayPal or Amazon bill. e.g. AM6.0 5G, SM3.0 5G, or even IYPS 5G when it comes out!

Why? I don't see any problems with it having the full name?

It is not about the shame or guilt of it. It is just about being discrete, and private with one's business on billing that extends beyond IML's borders. Of course, it is just an idea.

Agreed. I believe in privacy equals security.

I hope the staff here takes this into consideration very seriously. Because it will effect their sale in my opinion.

Data mining, shared databases, and unofficial access, such as through hacking, spyware, government agencies, all go to make the internet not quite as private as it should be. How soon will it be when anyone can "google" someone's email address and find out what they have been shopping for? It sounds like paranoia, but the popular social network sites already collate and link email addresses. e.g. if you ever casually browse through the "people you might know" suggestions in FaceBook, you do wonder how did they manage to connect your profile with some of the people that they have connected / suggested to you?

As I said before, it is just a suggestion, but I would definitely be happier with coded product titles on the billing, which is actioned in PayPal or Amazon. For someone who is determined to snoop around in someone else's shopping, it does not take much to "decode" those abbreviations / product codes, but at least it doesn't "jump" out for any random person who might stumble over it to see.
