Alpha is characterized by doing as one pleases with himself as the first priority within the context. Leadership is alpha. Domination is alpha. Irreverence is alpha.

Russell demonstrates all three in this interaction.

Irreverence is not alpha.

ir·rev·er·ence
1. Lack of reverence or due respect.
2. A disrespectful act or remark.

Russell was being inappropriate and disrespectful to some people's standards but his "vibe" indicated otherwise.

EDIT:

Then again.. I cannot tell you what makes you alpha and what makes others alpha. That's all subjective.

I love Russel Brand. He is pretty Alpha because he does and says what he wants. But he has weird feminine body language alot of the time.

Hmm. I was misusing the word. Thanks for pointing out the definition.

The meaning I was trying to convey was that he was willing to disregard the norms of that particular situation, where the hosts run the show and the guest is compliant and helpful.

Oh ok. I almost thought that's what you meant. Smile I'd also like to retract my comment that I edited in. Because that's not completely true.
