These sound like some good points to put into the Fitness subliminals. Sure I have bodybuilder pride, although I have to say there is a finish line. It's just most people never reach it and plateau out, or the journey is so long and so difficult they can't see the finish line. Hence the bad reputation of "never being good enough". I definitely understand the problem though, as before I did all my research I used to plateau all the time and thought I'd never make it.
I'm getting close, though. My end-all goal is 240lb with low body fat (at 6ft), and I can get there within the next 2 years. For my height, although I'm not interested in competing in "body building" that's a pro-level (arnold has competed at 225-250ish at 6'2 I believe he is?). I could get to 240 in a couple months if I didn't care about body fat
