I get why you opt not to be open, but all I'm saying is you shouldn't care. Can you really respect someone who won't respect your opinions for example? I know I can't.
I'm not saying you waste your time with people who don't listen either, what I'm getting at is you should be open, thus making it easy to identify people who do and people who do not listen. Disassociate with those who will waste your time and be ignorant to what you are passionate about, and spend time with those who get it. Build a cult following, in a manner of speaking.
