Sarge, ED isn't always in a guy's head. Men are much more complex creatures than we give them credit for being. Barring things like drug use, his ability to achieve an erection depends on four major factors:
- Is he attracted sexually and aroused?
- Is his mind cooperating? (Are his beliefs, consciously and/or subconsciously, interfering?)
- Is he emotionally comfortable with the situation? (Is he upset, hurting, afraid, angry, frustrated, depressed? Does he feel like he is just being "used for sex"? Etc.)
- Does he have a physical issue that is affecting his aility to achieve an erection?
Presuming he is sexually aroused enough to have an erection otherwise, the other three factors must be a "go" also.
