For some reason I couldn't get an experimental vid to work under GOM player, it keeps asking for a mpeg 2 codec. Even though I did install it along with K-Lite Codec Pack. It's a good player though (except for playing dvd's), and have been using it for years.
Windows Media Player does work (probably because of K-Lite Codec Pack), but you have to manually asign the .vob format, in order to get it to work. Only downside is that it doesn't stretch out on widescreen. VLC will certainly do the trick, haven't tested it myself though.
