I still don’t understand how he could “block out women completely” if he’s successfully running the program. He’d have to be reporting how women have been trying to approach and get with him. Regardless of his response to that, wouldn’t those results show it’s his own choice he’s not having sex and the program is doing as intended?

Go back and read what he wrote. He basically said that he was going to prevent himself from responding to women at all, and wait for DMSI to work. Well if he succeeds in preventing himself from responding to women at all, how can DMSI work? Thus, it's a clever self sabotage tactic designed to stop DMSI from working, while convincing the conscious mind that it is actually a method of making DMSI work.
