Speaking of USLM, I had a USLM-like experience last night.
Went to see The Mule at the movie theater with my new dad-buddy from my son's swim lessons. I thought it was strange, but we were the only people in the theater, which I voiced to my friend. He thought it was weird, too.
About 20 minutes into the movie, an employee (possibly management/someone from projection) approaches and says, "I'm sorry, there's been a mistake where over 10 people purchased tickets for the movie but the theater was misprinted on the ticket. I have to restart the movie, but here's two free passes for the trouble." Sure enough, about 11 people filtered in shortly thereafter. We asked one of them what happened, and apparently they were sitting in another theater, expecting The Mule, and instead some possession movie started. I'm not sure how the same thing didn't happen to us - just them.
Anyway, it wasn't a big deal. Went for drink refills and a bathroom break. When we came back, the movie was just about to where we were before the restart, and free to boot.
I also got a crazy deal on Taco Bell gift cards yesterday. They were offering $5 for every $10 purchased. Not quite a Ridiculous Sale, but I'll take 50% off. My wife loves Taco Bell.
