I don't know what it means exactly, but it looks like Verge devs aren't being honest with people's money.
It seems it is FUD to me. Also it doesn't make sense that those developer would wait for so long to steal people money in such obvious manner.
To make a move this stupid would require some people more stupid than that and probably less patient too.
