Yes there is a very high potential in alt coin but so much alt coin to choose from.
There is so much manipulation on the crypto right now it's very very hard to trust any of them.
I just learn from some high talented psychic guy that Satoshi Nakamoto didn't exist, that it was an inside job by the government or something close to that. I'm not sure it's true but it's a possibility to consider.
On manipulation again I'm considering more and more the possibility that Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash code are now controlled by an elite group. Which mean maybe they are changing the rules inside the code. And the code it's so complex and require so much advanced computer skills that almost no one is going to read through it.
Bitcoin by design was decentralized but it doesn't mean someone cannot change the rule over time slowly so that overtime it's just that another way to control the mass while they think no one is controlling them
There is 3 requirement for someone to understand this, you have to understand psychological welfare very well, programing/internet/cryptography and money/economy/trading/value .
Usually computer geeks aren't aware of psychological welfare which mean there is probably a lot of developers who think they are doing the right thing but are being completely brainwash by someone.
If you read through Bitcoin cash and bitcoin core forum it's almost like 2 groups fighting each other, maybe both are corrupted, it's like an election, choose between Hillary and Trump
