What we call love is sometimes not love, that's what RTBoss said I think. For example one of my Ex thought love was jealousy which mean that if I wasn't jealous of her sleeping around it meant that I wasn't in love with her.
For some love is the fear of losing someone, for some it is approval seeking which is not love either.
Which means someone may seems to care for you but it's not love, it may be because that person has no one else in her life so she cares for you.
There is a law/theory that I learn not long ago that says you become what you hate/love. The focus is so important that your consciousness adapt to this object you think about day and night.
So regardless of the means (hatred/love) in the big scheme behind life the result is the same.
