Pros
1. Regular Sex
2. There is always someone to chat to
3. She loves to cook and clean for you
Cons
1. Dealing with her personality flaws
2. Dealing with her menstrual cycle which gives her mood swings.
3. If you use to being your own man then living with a woman be a challenge.
Any other thoughts ?

1. Regular sex wanes due to the "Coolidge effect". Google it
2. Chemistry is important initially but later it turns into companionship
The entire institution of marriage is flawed. Naturally when humans were nomadic we had no such thing as a marriage contract. Marriage was designed once man started settling on land and farming it. The only way to ensure your progeny is yours (to ensure inheritance to only your children) is by putting a ring on it.
Refer back to Coolidge effect. Man was never meant to be monogamous. Hence a 50% divorce rate.
If your goal is to put some roots down and have some children (and raise them in a stable home with two stable parents) then marriage is great. Children need that foundation to grow.
If your goal is for your own ends, it might be a lot harder to make it work. Also keep in mind what the potential wife's goals are aswell.
