messing up ASRB doesn't mean you have no effects.... but it causes significantly reduced effects.

Even converting it from one lossless format to another, you are introducing the chance for screwing something up because you set something wrong, or because there's an unknown bug in the program, or because the programmer did something you don't know about.
And with subliminal audio... you would potentially never know.
My advice is, if your files don't match on an MD5 sum check, don't use them. You have no idea and no way of knowing what has changed.

Play it on your cell phone. If you chose Apple products, you will have to either use mp3, get a player that can handle FLAC on Apple or buy something that can play the most common open format for lossless audio.
As amazing as everyone says it is (and it is), DMSI A side does take time to get going because of how it works. Don't worry about IOIs and such at first. Watch for emotional changes and changes in how you are thinking and responding.

So it seems like I have to use the PC then, because I don't know how to download it on the iPhone. It says "live broadcast" and then when I close it its gone for good.

You need to connect your iPhone to your computer via USB cable, then use a program called iTunes to transfer files between them. With Android phones it's more straight forward.

Be careful that iTunes doesn't alter your subliminal file while handling it. Apple assumes you are a complete moron and tries to think for you a lot. In this case, it will likely destroy the file if they attempt to re-encode/transcode it.
