On my speakers that are connected to my PC, I have my settings on high treble and have kept them at that because I noticed I vividly dream like crazy.

Dzemoo, what are your recommendations for:

1.headphones
•masked-->
•ultrasonic-->
2.speakers
•masked-->
•ultrasonic-->

(EQ settings ,effects, etc)

I notice that on different programs and on different headphones /speakers the dream patterns change. It is hard to find out which is the best way, however.

As far as I know Shannon listens to the subs on speakers even though headphones are the best way.Wonder why..

On headphones i recommend no eq setting for ultrasonic, and normal or jazz setting for masked,

On speakers normal eq setting with 3d sound effect for ultrasonic, 2.1 system with subwoofer for masked and again no eq setting

I may switch back to the headboard speakers tonight to look for differences. I'll let you know how it goes.

So last night I switched back to the Logitech Z150s either side of my headboard. And I accidentally managed to do a double blind test!

I put the subs on before bed, and left the playlist playing. The playlist has a masked track come on 3 hours to mix up the Ultrasonics, and then they come on for when I wake up.

As soon as I went to bed i noticed my head kinda hurting/expanding around the frontal lobes which is normal for me, so assumed the subs were on and working.

I wake up feeling pretty good, way less tired than normal I also realise the masked waves track isn't playing. This leads me to think the subs didn't play, so I think back to the night before when my heard hurt and thought it must just be Placebo.

I then check my iPhone and it was looping the one Ultrasonic sub , so I did listen to the subs all night - double blind test? I think I was less tired due to not eating a load of ice cream (Dairy) before bed - nothing todo with subs.

But have noticed that I am much angrier today, not sure if that has to do with listening to the US all night much closer to my head?

Sorry, very inconclusive. I will try again with the head board speakers. But personally I think the 2.1 setup at the end of my bed is better.

How do you turn on the 3D setting when playing through iPhone?

Primarily convenience. It just works better for allowing me to be maximally productive in the style I work in. Remember that I work with audio a lot, so for me to listen while I work requires speakers; and when I sleep, the only thing I can do because of the placement of power plugs in my bedroom is speakers. I charge my phone at night.

More vivid dreams indicates a change, but does not indicate that one method is better than another. It does indicate that you're dealing with different levels of your subconscious, or dealing with your subconscious processing it in different ways. The latter would be true because the stereospatial effects are not being perfectly administered.

It'll work either way.

i have a feeling that i am experiencing less resistance this way

what i also noticed is when there is a break between the loops of 5-15 mins the subs works better for me, like my brain is resting fot 5-15 mins and again starting fresher like reps in gym

@arctic i use the 3d effect of my speakers via dps (digtial signal processor) i dont believe in the 3d effect of players like ipod i think it is similiar to an equalizer just pitching the higher tones and the basses, only real 3d if the speaker has the function
