Does using Ambien (which slows down brain function), affect subliminal effectiveness during that night of listening? I use Ambien maybe once a week or so.

I highly doubt it.
Also, if you're using a 5G program, it will have Hyperspeed and Self Optimizing Scripting. So with those, the program will adjust itself constantly to find the optimum way to connect with your brain, if you feel you will have decreased brain functions.
