all decibel meter apps show 40-45 decibels even before playing the sub. what gives? - Hold007 - 08-01-2014 hi i downloaded the a deciebel app and a hz measureing app on iphone becuause frequesee is not free. 1. shannon says not to play a sub above 29 decebels. but from what i am seeing even without the sub the decibel is 40-45 then when i turn on the sub it jumps between 65and 85 decebels depending on which way the phone in facing. so what is wrong here. all the decibel apps do the same thing btw. 2. the herts meter shows between 16000-17000 hertz on my speakers and playstation portable. is this ok??? 3. also is it ok to play the ultrasonic sub on playstation portable. It has stereo speakers but they are only 0.02cm long? thanks
