Speaker positioning - Jakeb203 - 02-07-2014 Hey guys, I've been listening to AM6 for a few weeks now. While he effects are good, I'm just wondering is it ok if I place the speakers 3m - 5m away from where my head is? I listen to ultrasonics during night at about 1m of distance and feel that I have a headache and ear discomfort the next morning I wake up. The original position is when I lay my head in front of the speakers that are placed on a desk 1m away from the end of my bed. I'm trying to flip my body over so my foot are facing the speakers, so that the hearing distance becomes longer. Thanks for your suggestions, Jake RE: Speaker positioning - swisston - 02-07-2014 Couldn't you just turn it down a notch or two? It sounds like you have it on too loud RE: Speaker positioning - Jakeb203 - 02-07-2014 (02-07-2014, 03:27 AM)swisston Wrote: Couldn't you just turn it down a notch or two? And yea, sleeping right in front of the speakers gives a hard time to my ears the next day. Maybe becuz I'm young RE: Speaker positioning - IceAlive - 02-07-2014 Okay, if I'm not mistaking, you need some proof that the sound "is there" even if you can't hear it. Your visual acuity may be of more use if that is the case. Just get an app like FrequenSee, which tells you how loud the ultrasounds are. Compare that to a "hearable" tune to get an idea of how much of a hard time you actually give to yourself. |
