RE: Afforable Speakers (Meet Ultrasonic 20kHz Requirements) - tianshiz - 11-19-2011

it's almost black friday and I'm looking for some sweet speaker deals. preferably one that is over 20khz freq response and has an aux input.

so far i've yet come across anything, I have altec lansing stereo speakers on my laptop that I currently use, but no idea about its specs. I can hear the high pitch noises at a high enough volume so I assume that I'm at least getting something, but I would feel much better knowing that I have a speaker that can fully take advantage of it(and plus not have to leave my laptop on). if anyone sees anything, be sure to let me know!

I got these at Target: http://www.target.com/p/GE-2-pc-Speakers/-/A-10279516#?lnk=sc_qi_detailimage

They worked for me last year until I upgraded to better speakers. It requires USB to power them, however, you can always find a USB to AC plug for cheap if you want to just plug them into the wall.

I love this babies! They aren't very expensive for the quality they produce, great for a home theater system as well. You will need a receiver/stereo system to use them and a way to convert digital to analog/RCA cables in order to use a MP3 player or Computer. Great investment for long-term use, 50khz response.

Since the Sony SS-B1000 speakers need a receiver, I found a Technical Pro 72-RX35U
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B004SF20FG/

It has decent reviews, and can be found for under $100.00 (Translation: it ain't a McIntosh, but it gets the job done at a good value).

It has inputs for a USB flash drive, SD card, and 3.5mm jack (labeled "MP3")

Just a tip for anyone that views this thread in the future, make sure you have STEREO speakers and NOT MONO. There is a thread in FAQs about this: http://subliminal-talk.com/Thread-Stereo-Versus-Mono-Speakers-Headphones-Why-You-Need-Stereo and we recently discovered the MONO capsule speakers do not work well with the subs, you will only get half benefit.

I've been getting messages that these Capsule speakers are not up to par. I would invest in something a bit better.

I found these stereo sound capsule speakers that will do the trick instead (and they are portable!) Wink

Have you got them your self? Need to get a new speakers as I had to lower volume on mine as tweeter died :-(

RE: Afforable Speakers (Meet Ultrasonic 20kHz Requirements) - taylord1984 - 03-11-2012

Well I have gone and ordered them and will let people know how well they work. They don't seem to have a tweeter so if they work there is a better chance they wont blow. I seen some one else some where on the forum saying he had speakers where the tweeters have blown. I don't wont to keep having to buy speakers and don't wont to fork out much on them as I got a different system for running my music off.

I just hope my lowering of the volume has not had an impact on my first run of Alpha male. I not seen much in the form of changes and I'm on stage 5 Undecided

Hi everybody, My name is Anthony and i am pretty new to this site. I have a few questions to ask...not sure if i am in the right placeHuh
But anyway I have started off with the sub Absolute self confidence and i also purchased AoS .,I have them about a week now and i suppose i am wondering are they working. I am just using them on my laptop at the moment...it has internal stereo speakers and it is set at (44100hz cd quality) now i dont know much about this technology so i was wondering if you see any problem with using this before i decide what i need to get , that is better. I had been mostly using the masked subs although sometimes using the silent ones as well. I found slight static with the silent but nothing much, so i am wondering if you think they are working for me with this equiptment.I have the laptop beside my bed and at a comfortable sound level at night. After the first few nights i felt very tired and drained in the morning and also very thirsty, also i had some vivid dreams...do you think i am getting the benefit of the subs with what i am telling you,
i cant say i have anything else as of yet to report regards confident feelings or the AOS at the moment, but it is probably a bit early.
I have been using both subs as much as i can but concentrating mostly on the confidence one...If you have any tips regards using 2 subs i would be glad to hear them...as i said i am new to this process but i am really looking forward to it Thank you!!

Just to let every one know the X-miniā„¢ MAX v1.1 Capsule Speakers don't live up to there specks. Crackly voice even at a very low volume on silent track :-( Kind of getting fed up of speakers not living up to there advertised specks. I could of bought top of range ones with the 4 lots I got :-(

Your getting mixed up. Sample rate is not the same as frequency response, don't mess with sampling rate.
Are you using the silent track? If you are and you hear crackly voices or smiler then the speakers are not any good for the silent track. So you will have to use the masked track or get new external speakers.

Ok Taylord, thanks for your help...i will just have to purchase some
good quality external speakers then...Cheers.

I bought Altec Lansing mini mp3 speaker. Supposedly one of the best on the market. It took 3 days of research. I can't wait until my ultrasonic track comes: 24 hour breeze for me. I don't have to listen to ocean sounds for long periods of time...

Laptop speakers doesn't do quite well bro. I think we already have a discussion here about them.
Be sure to get speakers capable at least 20khz. Getting a good named brand is also always recommended. And make sure they are stereo speakers. I just realized that I have been using mono speakers and now in the process of getting new speakers. Smile

Walker, you can use any speakers with the masked oceans/streaming versions. With the Ultrasonic/silent, you need something a bit better than lap top speakers, they usually cannot reach that frequency. There were a cheap pair I found at Target in this thread, but investing is always good if you plan to use a lot of subs in the future.

Also, the results do not always appear right away. It can take up to 2-4 weeks to expect results on most Type B subliminals (including Aura).

Wink

from my search on goggle that is a single speaker not stereo. So it will only be half effective.
