mixing ultrasonic subs w/ music - ronatello - 07-21-2010 I will discuss mixing subs and music with a multichannel audio program (freeware audacity should do this but I use Nero's Soundtrax since I have the program). Step 1). Load the music of choice into the sound editor (multi channel mode). In this case with Nero soundtrax, the music will occupy channel 1 (each channel in this particular editor can handle stereo which is odd but it does... go figure). Other sound editors in multi track mode may have you put the music in channels 1 and 2 and then the subs in 3 and 4. Consult the manual that comes with the software in question. Step 2) In channel 2, Add the ultrasonic sub of your choice (I used Absolute Self Confidence). Choose enough music to last 60 minutes or more if burning to a CD (which I did to listen to in the car). I added the sub twice. Step 3) Save the project and either burn it to CD or export it to an audio file to be played back by your [portable] media player(I would say a lossless type and NOT mp3 because you will more than likely degrade sound quality if your source files are already MP3 (and so are the subs). Don't change the level of the sub track(s). Leave them be. |
