RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - terry44 - 02-16-2016 (02-15-2016, 03:58 PM)Shannon Wrote: But as for maintaining steady blood sugar, it's simple. Several small meals a day, evenly spaced and more frequently, instead of 1-2-3 large ones. I take the opposite approach and have two meals a day, preferably in an 8 hour window, and try to get my blood sugar way down, so that I become ketogenic most of the time. Contrary to popular belief your body can use ketones at least as well as sugar for energy. Intermittent fasting has big benefits, if you get info fat burning mode rather than sugar burning mode. I've got lots more energy now compared to when I was a sugar burner. This is a good article about it: http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2014/06/14/intermittent-fasting-longevity.aspx A quote from the article: Quote:In short, he discovers that part of what appears to be driving the disease process is the fact that we're eating too frequently. When you're in constant "feast mode," your body actually forgoes much of its natural "repair and rejuvenation programming." RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - rayrocanaldo - 02-16-2016 Shannon, if I only listen with one headphone on do I still get the full of effect of a sub like alpha male or woman maget or even sex maget ? Also im a lesbian female too, so the attracting men thing is of little use to me. I know it is predominantly men here, and even less LGBT. but i would appreciate it if you can make things as gender neutral whenever possible so I can use some subs too. Right now, still lot of subs on the list to do. and I'm starting with OGSF 5G. Finally jumped the gun and bought an IML sub. but will use it starting March because of other commitments. or if you can do it like this, "if you're a heterosexual man, or a lesbian woman, bla bla bla." or "if you're a heterosexual woman or a gay man", bla bla bla" . or if you're planning to do a AOS/BIABWS combo, you can have a standalone version of AOS for gender neutral people or people who only want the aura. thankfully, i have no interest in the magnets because i am strictly monogamous and have no desire to be with multiple women. but it is nice to be more attractive. ![]() RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 02-16-2016 (02-16-2016, 03:11 PM)Eslima5 Wrote:(02-14-2016, 03:43 AM)Shannon Wrote:(02-14-2016, 12:01 AM)ncbeareatingman Wrote: That's a good point. The only thing is, "if" statements, so far, have been challenging at best to get working. I'm making progress, but it seems to have trouble because the subconscious either perceives reality differently in some way we don't currently understand, or is dealing with factors we don't know about that require extraordinary wording to make effective. I've concluded that it makes a lot of sense to try to make each program as universal as possible. So if it has to be for men, I'd try to make it work for all men. And so forth. And if it's not necessary to gender it, then make it work for all people. The reason for specificity beyond that is that it can be made more capable by being more specific, but it also sextuples the work load creating hetero, homo, bi, etc. for each gender. More chance for mistakes too. So I'll be focusing on making things as universal as possible, and now I actually have the knowledge to make that work as well as or better than the specified ones of the past. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - wolverine_i_am - 02-17-2016 Low GI and high GI are completely different. It's okay to have as much fruits you want. There's so much nonsense all over the media saying too much fruit is bad for you. Fruit is good for you. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - wolverine_i_am - 02-17-2016 Yes, and just eat as much as you want. ![]() RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Shannon - 02-17-2016 (02-17-2016, 12:20 AM)AlphaReal Wrote: I have two general questions to you Shannon: The fact that playing such intense subs all night, and typically only needing 1-3 extra hours of sleep, tells me that it is clearly something we are capable of handling. The more I learn about the mind and brain, the more amazed at how much more it is capable of than we understand, use or give it credit for. If you need more sleep, just go to bed earlier. Quote:Second, if I was to stop AM 6 for a while, and run Stress relief for a while, would I have to re-begin Stage 5 again, or just continue where I left off? Do you realize what you're saying? Let me translate for you. I didn't read the directions, and now that the going is getting tough, I want to go directly against the instructions and then undo what the program is doing to motivate me to make changes, as well as the changes it is already making. I want to give in to my subconscious resistance to NOT get the results I have spent $500 on and five months working toward, AND invalidate my right to a refund if I am not satisfied. In other words: Don't stop AM until you have finished all six stages! Don't try to de-stress, USE that stress to achieve your goals! Changing is stress. You are succeeding. USE it! Now as I have said before, the only exception to this is, if you genuinely think you'll end up killing yourself, then you can stop. But... if you stop... you have to start all over again from Stage 1. Read the directions again. Don't stop. Direct the stress to motivate you to achieve and succeed. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - Dzemoo - 02-17-2016 From my experience i sleep better with subs and feel more rested during the day. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - swisston - 02-17-2016 I don't notice any difference from having the subs running at night RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - maxx55 - 02-17-2016 Hey Shannon, any new estimate on when EPRHA 2.0 will be finished? RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - JackOfHearts - 02-17-2016 You want to know why a lot of people contradict themselves about what you should eat and what you shouldn't? It's exactly as Shannon said. ![]() General rules generally doesn't work, everyone is different and need something different. Some people say don't eat that or this, it's false, it depends on the individual. I know that for my constitution I need more fat like butter and natural oils. Some people will need to eat more green vegetable, some more fruit, some more nuts, it depends on the individual. Some stuff are general though like don't eat sugar, I'm still not sure about unrefined sugar. The most logical system that I found that answered my questions was ayurvedic medecine. They have a clear system to define someone constitution (not easy to do though) and what each constitution should eat. RE: Shannon's Journal Discussion - terry44 - 02-17-2016 (02-17-2016, 12:25 AM)wolverine_i_am Wrote: Low GI and high GI are completely different. It's okay to have as much fruits you want. There's so much nonsense all over the media saying too much fruit is bad for you. Fruit is good for you. There's actually a huge amount of research that backs up that too much sugar is bad for you, whether it is from carbs, refined sugar, or fruit. Too much sugar can cause metabolic syndrome, diabetes, accelerated aging, and is a powerful fuel source for cancer cells, in fact it is the only source cancer cells can use (normal cells can use fatty acids/ketones for energy). It also causes inflammation and oxidative damage generally, as well as glycation in the skin, giving it a wrinkled, sagging, appearance. A lot of evidence is even pointing to sugar as a main cause of Alzheimer's disease, or type 3 diabetes (a kind of diabetes of the brain). I'm not saying don't eat fruit, because there's a lot of good stuff in it, but too much fruit means too much sugar. |
