RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-03-2015 Okay, last day of BASE. In the last few days, while dabbling with MBTI, I also started studying the Enneagram. Turns out I'm scoring a lot within Type 6, even if I wouldn't have guessed it at first. The issue is, Type 6 seems to be run by fear. It seems to me, that my life has been run by this fear to such a degree, that I can't even laugh about it... yet. A lot of stuff I considered to be "true" for me turns out (again) to be just some pretense, powered by a negative emotion. Now, the issue with regards to BASE is this - I can see how much of my intention of being an entrepreneur is tied to distrust for authority and, at the same time - to being loyal to society by trying to improve it. (if that makes sense) The more I let go of fear, the more I realize this is a highly impractical way of approaching entrepreneurship - way more concerned with what *I* want, rather than what the market wants (and/or will appreciate). Basically, my effort up to now seems to have been orchestrated by fear - not an optimal strategy I would guess. That realization also coincides with the fact that I'm finishing BASE and that Shannon is going to release OF 5G soon. I'll have this week of rest to gather my thoughts and decide what to run next. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - chaosvrgn - 12-06-2015 The MBTI has greatly influenced my interactions with people also. I'm a type 5 (Enneagram) INTP (MBTI), meaning I suffer from the same thing you do -- complete and total confusion regarding emotional relationships. It's like I feel totally isolated from society, alone even when I'm surrounded by people. I also have a complete distrust of authority and power systems. I'm debating between BASE or Sex Magnet (for the intimacy issues) after I finish AM6. That being said, in stage 4 of AM6, I began to consciously focus my intuition on reading people's energy and emotional states and combining my perceptions with what I know about that person's type. For example, being an NT, I have a tendency to approach every problem with methodical, hyper-logical precision. SF types, though, aren't looking for that. Especially SF women. Generally, they just want a hug and reassurance that everything's gonna be okay. It's been working out extremely well. I'm thinking the wisdom enhancement in AM6 has something to do with it. I'd say to just keep at it. If you're an NT or ST (intimacy doesn't come easy to these types), practice makes perfect. You can learn to "fake it" enough to get results. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-06-2015 Hello, chaosvrgn (12-06-2015, 09:53 AM)chaosvrgn Wrote: I'm debating between BASE or Sex Magnet (for the intimacy issues) after I finish AM6. If you ran AM6 just once, depending on your results you may want to consider another run-through. If I'm not mistaken, Shannon suggests that people need up to 3 runs to get long-term or permanent results in most cases. Yeah, it could definitely be wisdom, lol. I used the word "baffled" before, but now I'm thinking it's not the most appropriate for the case. It's not that I *can't* read women per se, it's more that I used to get bored/resistant after doing it for a while - not a very useful personality trait for a long-term relationship. There's a huge improvement in that area in the last year, but I still have my bad days sometimes. These instances are definitely getting rarer as time goes on. To a large extent I can attribute this to going for higher quality women. (12-06-2015, 09:53 AM)chaosvrgn Wrote: I'd say to just keep at it. I'm fine with faking it, as long as it eventually transitions to a natural, deeply conscious behavior (although at this point - skill-set or even "value system" would seem like a more appropriate term.) I'm more interested in using the MBTI framework to go out of my personality type and master the others, rather than learning to function within one particular type. Seems to me that the latter approach would defeat the purpose of intimacy. (and personal growth in general) RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-14-2015 Day 2 of rest after 2nd BASE run I'm slowly regaining my alertness in the last two days. It definitely feels as if I'm still processing information, but little by little I'm gaining focus. I guess I should take better care of myself. (even though I think I do a pretty good job right now) I'm still torn between OF 5G and running BASE again. I've been clearing up lots of fear regarding relationships of any kind, which seems to have very much transformed the way I interact with other people. I'm still in the nihilism stage (where nothing seems to matter or make sense), but it's a matter of time before I start to appreciate the new state of events. OF will definitely be useful, but BASE still seems like a wiser long-term choice, since I already have the momentum of 2 consecutive runs. It's going to be a tough choice, that's for sure. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-17-2015 Rest, Day 5 One thing I've been doing the past few days (and it feels a bit weird to share it here, since "Alpha Male" is the most popular sub...) is to get in touch with my own feminine aspects. It took a conscious decision and a few hours of practice before I started getting A LOT more looks and mischievous smiles from girls on the street. Girls I already know also became more talkative and open. I also realized I need that feminine energy in order to have that drive, ambition and... well, vision to succeed, instead of being focused on the nitty-gritty details of what I'm doing. For some reason I became less and less inclined to make sure I'm getting enough feminine energy the more I ran BASE. I'm not sure if BASE is at fault here, or if I'm reacting weirdly, but those are the facts. In any case, I don't think it's a coincidence that I'm only realizing this while I'm resting from BASE. That seems like another argument for running OF 5G next, even in the very context of entrepreneurship. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-20-2015 Rest, Day 8 I'm giving myself 1-2 more days of rest before running BASE 2.1. This was my final decision. However, this time, I'm taking way better care of myself in order to process the subliminal and STILL be alert and energized. I just placed an order for a few nutritional supplements: - CoQ10 (100mg) - Diatomaceous Earth (Shannon recommended it somewhere and I'm a sucker for anything that claims to detox your body) - Cod liver oil - A good multivitamin - Panax Ginseng - Ginkgo Biloba - GABA (for better sleep) I've always eaten for the most part very healthy food for the last 8-9 years, so that's a given. Furthermore, I've started taking a few bodybuilding supplements (and I'm working out of course), which I think further contributes to my better state of body *and* mind. I'll also try to get at least an average of 7 hours of sleep, although 8 would be best. I think I've made the mistake to rely too much on the subliminal's influence to keep me energetic, motivated and focused, but I guess some factors you just have to take care of yourself. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Nox - 12-20-2015 I think you made a good decision on the rest, and especially on the feminine understanding part. Yang needs yin to form a whole. Magnetism is also a yin property, so the process of drawing and attracting events and individuals to you is a feminine property. You might also want to look into a nettle root and pine pollen addition if you're looking for antioxidant and hormone helping supplements. Best of luck man! RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-20-2015 Thanks, Nox! This... I knew something was up in terms of the manifestation aspects of BASE not being very obvious... but I couldn't exactly put my finger on it. This seems to be exactly it, as far as I can tell! Also, about your suggestions for antioxidants and hormone helpers - are they in some way related to your earlier thoughts about yin and yang? If so, I'd love to hear your reasoning behind it. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Nox - 12-20-2015 (12-20-2015, 12:52 PM)Ivaylo Wrote: Thanks, Nox! This... Yes and no haha. Yes because to try and keep in a good balanced state you want to keep your yang and yin aspects and growth balanced as well, at least as best as we are able to. Having a massive yang imbalance sucks, but having too much yin can be just as detrimental. Getting in touch with you feminine side and influences is a very good thing to do for yourself, but you want to temper that with positive action if you're not trying to make up for an imbalance. Mixing nettle root and pine pollen allows a bit more of the testosterone enhancing effects of pine pollen to possibly be absorbed by your body. No because antioxidants are usually safe to take in more of unless we get crazy, and getting a range of them is always nice. I could definitely be better at "switching" from feminine to masculine and vice versa, especially when there are other... distractions. Do you have any experience with tribulus? Some of the best tribulus grows naturally in my country (Bulgaria), while pine pollen is not sold in any of the online stores I usually shop in. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Nox - 12-20-2015 I have never tried it as I haven't ever been too impressed with reviews or the results of people I know that have tried it. Some folks claim it works, but I haven't seen amazing results from them either. And I just order nettle root and pine pollen off of amazon. I price shopped them a bit and they're cheap enough that I just get them, as well as a few other things, on Amazon. I'm all for saving a buck, but I save more on Amazon with the free shipping usually with over $35 orders. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-20-2015 Alright, thanks! I am not finding anyone on amazon, who's willing to ship to Bulgaria, but I'm sure I'll think of something. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Nox - 12-21-2015 My go to place for supplement info is examine.com Very good stuff there. I've almost bought their guides a few times just out of curiosity. RE: Ivaylo's BASE 2.0 Journal - Ivaylo - 12-21-2015 Great stuff at examine.com. Judging from their website, among the compounds/superfoods mentioned in this thread, only phosphatidylserine and ashwaghanda seem to be well-researched. I'm all for experimentation in general, but I've also never taken CoQ10 or GABA before (also I've never taken so many supplements at the same time), so I'm not sure I'm going to know for certain if any of those has any effect. However, I found out I can buy certified bio Ashwaghanda powder in bulk from a local health store, and it's very cheap - so I'll go ahead and add that to the list. Anything else seems to me like a long shot, especially since, as @yeah! said, the best boosters seem to be healthy food, enough sleep and compound exercises. For the most part I've got those covered. |
