As a result, they shit test - ESPECIALLY when it's "obvious", because to her, it's not obvious until he disambiguates himself from the sheep in wolf's clothing. Lot of guys are good at faking it to a point, but she is only interested in the man who really is an alpha.
That's why she blew it and then texted him back. She wants to see if she can salvage it, and in fact by the sound of it, may actually still be shit testing him. Because he passed the test by blowing her out.
To a guy its much simpler. Can this guy best me at X? Then he's more alpha than me, and the case is closed.

In all seriousness, I think it's safe to say I'll never get it. I've had times where I never wavered for the girl, thus "passing" the shit test, but nothing ever became of it. Whereas other times, being more beta leads to more things for me. Especially in sales lately. So yeah, don't think I'll ever understand it lol.
You are definitely not alone with this kind of problem. I think if I start getting this in-the-moment I will probably feel like Neo seeing the Matrix code.

sometimes i wonder if self development makes someone happy or just takes the fun away in life, because nothing seems cool enough for me everything is less and less exciting

I don't wonder that much that you find it less exciting than in earlier times. I mean you had the ultimate success on SM3. So this stuff is probably so normal as it is for a billionaire to buy a Ferrari. He can also do it all the time if he wants to.
