RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Shannon - 09-10-2012 Quote:Hey Guys, The First Purpose of all physical living things is to reproduce. Our species, humans, does so in a sexual manner. Therefore, in order to reproduce, a man needs a woman, and a woman needs a man. Until of course science decides that gender A does not need gender B because it can create a child using a test tube. At which point, we are going to learn the hard way why the idea is false that a man does not need a woman, or vice versa. That point aside, we are also a social species, meaning that we need one another, and being solitary for too long is detrimental. However, the point at hand is not a permanent severance of the need for a woman, nor a desire to be solitary forever. The alpha program creates these conditions specifically for the purpose of allowing the man to do the inner work required to improve himself and advance himself. By the end of the program, he is released from these states and is free to go about his merry way. During the program however, a woman would be a distraction from the very important work he is doing on himself inwardly. In fact, this very point is why most males are not where they want to be with women: they have chased women (sex) instead of going for the critical self improvement they need to get said women. It is also healthy for a man to be balanced in his desire for women versus other things, and that is another goal of the alpha set. In the beginning, it shuts down the majority of interest in women primarily to allow him an un-distracted self improvement and growth period, but this has also the effect of introducing him to the alpha male's point of view that "I don't need any given woman." It's not about not needing women, it's about not needing any given woman. And it's about not needing at all. It's about being inwardly self sufficient and healthy enough to be happy without craving, from a place of weakness or fear, the opposite sex. It's about having enough self respect, self esteem, self worth and self control to act as a human, and not simply as an animal. It's about shifting one's focus from sex to being able to choose the woman because she has value, and her value matches one's own. I think there will be others here who have run through AM a time or three who may also have things to say in response to your post. However, as a final point, I can guarantee you that not a one of us has become "absolutely valueless" to anyone, including ourselves, for having used the program; and in fact we have all increased in value with each use of that program such that our lives are ever better for it, and so are our relationships - platonic, romantic and sexual. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - FunkeyMonkey - 09-12-2012 Amen to that. I know I'm going a bit into the stratosphere here but, for the intellectually adventurous, there's a book called "The Function of the Orgasm" that makes a scientific argument for the dependence of men and women going beyond reproduction. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - RainbowAbyss - 09-12-2012 well, I have got to say that FunkeyMonkey very eloquently stated some points I resonated with and Shannon very eloquently cleared them up... I think the only difference in opinion is really the interim period in which the man develops. AM, at least the version I have done, does truly create an indifference that is very freeing, and an aloofness that seemed to bounce back and forth between 'mature responsible stud without a care in the world' and just to preoccupied and genuinely disinterested yet still frustrated at inability to really connect-both sexually and otherwise-but that was probably partially resistance. Truth be told I have always been more of a 'playboy' and even though have had times where am seeing a woman or several woman it has never been in a particularly 'romantic-mushy' girlfriend. capacity..and when I have nothing going on I could care less now-I owe this in part to Alpha. It just seems like I get more out of my freedom and enjoying my bachelorhood then I would get with most woman, there are some woman who it seems this would not be the case with. However I do believe that for a stable and complete maximized life that ultimately there is a synergy and or 'gifting', and even an oneness beyond the ego dynamics of finding a counterpart between men and woman that is incredibly valuable. I have had glimpses of it, and I've known some couples like that and it is quite remarkable. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Cortez - 09-12-2012 There are times, usually at the end of the Alpha Male set that I feel like it would be very beneficial for me to entirely disconnect from femininity for a while and focus on my own growth. I don't know why that always seems to happen at the end of AM, but maybe Shannon can elaborate on that. However, it doesn't last. It IS for the point of my self growth and inevitably, I always come back and find new women to enjoy liaisons with, but more emotionally stable than I was before. I do prefer the grittier side of life and I love women. I may fast from women from time to time, but I am at my core a very sexually ravenous devil and I will always enjoy new adventures. The alpha male set may temporarily make me focus more on myself than my dealings with women, but that is entirely the point of the set. It doesn't go on forever and I wouldn't want it to. That set can be very taxing at times, lol. It's definitely NOT a light subliminal. It's more of a right of passage. Rainbow, your relationships with women sound exactly like mine. I have amazing adventures with women, but I haven't found one that I would in any way want to settle down with for anything long term. I don't need that anyway, that's the beauty of interdependence, but any girl that would be worth settling down isn't really one that I would need to go blindly search down anyway. So I welcome all challengers to my title of being single, haha. Mushy is not something I think I could ever be, but what real woman wants that anyway? RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - RainbowAbyss - 09-13-2012 haha..love it... but are we gifted or cursed?! most assuredly GIFTED lol Were qualifiers with joy de vivre..nothing wrong with that...I prefer to live like a romance novel character anyway...and while I thoroughly expect to have my 'bad' streaked tamed by some enchanting, intelligent, nurturing, evolution driven beauty one day... who makes me actually want to stay around..or can ride along..until then..mock whimsical sigh...no expectations, leave them better than I found them, play it safe and smart, and keep livin... You mentioned growth...the more I've been thinking about this the more obvious yet abstract it becomes..I really have been wanting to meet its 'essence' with its simplicity...I've been very curious lately about other perspectives on this, how would you define growth? Its such a broad thing but since we seem to overlap on many views on things but your perhaps better at.. eh hem...putting things concretely..shall I say...your defining would be much appreciated. rite of passage is well put.. we never got this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGx4IlppSgU so we get Alpha instead.. which btw... when are you planning on running 5.0 AM? The set is designed to allow the user to go through all stages of development in Stages 1-5, and Stage 6 is the one where it is all brought together and polished. In polishing, you are encouraged to do the things you need more work on, but in a gentle manner, not boot camp style anymore. It's sort of a final push in the right direction, but there is no more time left to really make an aggressive push safely. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Cortez - 09-13-2012 I guess that's just always how it hits me on the last stage then. It must just be my personal reaction to it. Rainbow, I define growth as working on anything that will make you more mature, of more benefit to people around, more at peace with yourself and more of use to yourself. There's always small things to work on that make a little stronger having done them. On the other side of that coin, there's always ways in life that you compromise and do things that kill you a little inside little by little. I want to eliminate those things the best I and live as freely as possible. True to my own integrity. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Cortez - 09-13-2012 And I'm doing AM 5.0 before I do WM 2.0. Right now I'm doing the Absolute Self Confidence 5G sub. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Spiral - 09-13-2012 Cortez, fill us in on anything awesome. Specifically how you feel through out your body now having done AM a second time and running the ASC 5G. I'm also curious to know how it effects your energy levels specifically dealing with your chakras and how or if they open up more by using 5G. It seems my lower chakras have closed up some after using AM the second time but I feel much more clear in heart and in my head. Let me know if you feel something similar or different. That's one reason why I really want to run the SM refresher to hopefully relieve some tension in my lower chakras. Just 5 minutes ago I contemplated jumping right into SM again after AM but I'm thinking the overcome fear will work absolute wonders for me. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Cortez - 09-13-2012 I couldn't really tell you about the chakra's. I don't really know, but I am usually less sexual and have more personal power when I'm doing the Alpha set and it's hard to tell what the confidence sub is doing. As for the Fearless sub, that's what I'm doing next along with "Everything is Possible". RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Cortez - 09-18-2012 I think I have been on ASC 5G for about 10 days or so now and I think I see a few changes, though it's hard to tell. I think a lot of the effects of Alpha are settling in as they seem to do after I'm off of it for a few weeks, so it's hard to say what is this sub and what's the residual effects of Alpha. One thing I noticed is that lately my aura or physical presence or what have you is so strong that people act really funny around me. This is especially true for women. I've noticed sometimes when a girl is talking to me, looking me in the eye's, they've usually got a smile plastered on their face like they couldn't remove if they wanted to and also, sometimes a girl will physically be shaking when she's around me, most noticeably, their hands. It's very funny to see and they won't stop with the questions either "What do you do for fun", "What are you doing for the first the rest of the day." etc. etc. Other than that, it's really tough to say, but that's something that's definitely increased lately. Here's something I noticed about AM2011...it makes a lot more serious while I'm on it. That has it's uses as we could all afford to be a little more mature. I think I get too caught up in it at times, though. I do the serious thing well enough, but I get way too cynical when I'm ice cold like that. I'm most myself whenever I'm making everyone around me laugh. I have a ridiculous imagination, it's probably one of my best attributes. Now that I'm through my little AM boot camp for a little while, I'm getting back to being goofy and ridiculous like usual. The same thing happened towards the end of AM 2010. I was like twice as serious as I normally am. I think it's much needed, though. I always come out of it better than before. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Spiral - 09-18-2012 I see Cortez. I feel fairly serious too but with a friendly vibe. But I still don't like to be bothered when I'm doing something I'm investing energy in such as eating LOL that's a pet peeve of mine. RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Shannon - 09-18-2012 Cortez, doing ASC immediately after AM doesn't make much sense to me. Since AM has self confidence programming in it and all... RE: The Modern Libertine's diary - Cortez - 09-19-2012 I just wanted to try out this new 5G, but you make a good point. Even so, I may as well just follow through for the rest of the 32 days, I like to see things through. |
