We've got Duke Energy up here now, so we'll see how it goes. It does seem like we've been having more short-term power outages since they took over, but it could just be the aging infrastructure.

Irma is now making landfall near Marco Island Florida. She didn't shift very far west, so the entire width of the state is getting hammered. If you look at a radar picture of the storm, you can see why the east side of a hurricane is the worse side to be on. So Shannon is probably experiencing bands of heavy rain and tropical storm force winds, with scattered tornado activity. Edit: Shannon said: "Currently getting tropical storm force winds, and seeing branches break off my trees"
