Ben, I've been through CDT training. It's neither ineffective nor gentle. RE: AM newest version - RainbowAbyss - 11-11-2012 AM must help with depression a bit though? A mean turning internalized anger into assertiveness is a quite a solid cure for non-endogenous depression RE: AM newest version - Shannon - 11-11-2012 (11-11-2012, 12:48 PM)RainbowAbyss Wrote: AM must help with depression a bit though? A mean turning internalized anger I can't make claims of a cure, and the program isn't designed to even deal with depression. When it does help, it's a good thing. But it's going to depend on a lot of factors that are out of my control within the person. So don't rely on it for help with depression. If it happens to be helpful, great! A mean turning internalized anger To be clear, Shannon is not a licensed physician or doctor of any kind. Making claims that his products can treat depression would be illegal, since he's not legally qualified to make those claims. This is especially true because the current societal perception of depression appears to be a chemical imbalance of the brain requiring pharmaceutical intervention. It would be more accurate to say that AM allows the user of the subliminals to change their paradigm, which may relieve the symptoms of clinical depression. I am not a doctor, and I believe that since the brain and body are integrally one unit, the thought-body feedback loop can be affected on both side of that loop. Negative thought patterns support poor health, just as poor health supports negative thought patterns. Conversely, positive thought patterns support good health. Antidepressants can relieve depression, but so can the right thought patterns, in my opinion. These thought patterns exist consciously and subconsciously. By using Alpha Male, one changes those thought patterns, and the new patterns will change one's neurochemical condition. In myself, I'm noticing a big change in my outlook and personal level of happiness since embarking on the AM journey, and I believe most other men will, too. A mean turning internalized anger Oh. I appreciate you pointing out the obvious sean, and to be even more accurate AM does help with depression , and by the way Antidepressants suppress depression it does not relieve it. RE: AM newest version - Sean - 11-12-2012 Perhaps you've confused "relieve" with "cure". The cure comes from within. RE: AM newest version - Yuri - 11-12-2012 Actually relieve goes under different meanings and one of them falls under release and relief which is connected to what u said and the way you related things, and the way i see it is the human body is already cured in it's truest and most raw form, and so you only need to release the excess bullshit you carried over the years. RE: AM newest version - Sean - 11-12-2012 Good point. I think we're saying the same thing in different ways. RE: AM newest version - Shannon - 11-12-2012 Yuri, my point is this. We have no definitive proof yet that it has any effect on depression because I can't yet do clinical studies. So while you may believe it has helped you, and I may believe it has helped you, and it may appear to have helped others as well, the best we can say is that we believe it has affected and/or helped people affect their depression. We don't have definitive proof. It may indeed help depression, but perhaps it only helps some kinds of depression. Maybe it helps some kinds more than others. Maybe there's another explanation entirely. I don't think so, but we can't claim that it affects depression universally or universally affects all types of depression, and we can't even definitively prove that the program is responsible for the effects we have observed. Again... it sure looks like the program is helping to me. It makes sense logically, based on what I know about psychology and what's in the program. But we only have reason to believe it's a possibility right now... not proof. I'll get proof as soon as possible, but until then, let's keep it clear what we really know, and what we strongly suspect is true. RE: AM newest version - djkenetics - 11-14-2012 13 days in it...feel like some of the "effects" wore down...I think I had a lot of placebo in the beginning but I still feel subtle changes, I am a bit more assertive still, I like that. Still feel very frustrated in general, don't really feel like talking to girls at all right now...not that I ever did but still lol. I guess I'm still just preliminary, I will continue listening to it over night with the rain masked. I been doing 8-10 hours a day so far. Oh yea, I have had more lucid dreams listening to this over night or maybe its coincidence but I doubt it, I'm thinking the messages are bringing these meanings to my dreams and I remember them easier. RE: AM newest version - Sean - 11-14-2012 Most AM users have experienced the vivid dreams throughout the program. Stage one is a clearing stage, where it's laying a foundation to get you set at a known starting place before later stages start bringing out "the big guns". It is likely that your assertiveness was a placebo effect, however a placebo effect is still an effect, so roll with it! Build some momentum on that: it can only help you, later. RE: AM newest version - djkenetics - 11-14-2012 I read in another thread that first few stages cause you to be uninterested in women? I heard shannon say that like really? RE: AM newest version - Sean - 11-14-2012 Dude, being disinterested in women is WAY better than it sounds. It's like walking into a Zen meditation garden from a noisy city street. It also gives you a zero-pressure paradigm for growth. It's REALLY REALLY hard to grow when you're chasing tail. Additionally, if you're using AM to be more attractive to women, being disinterested in them gives you a great deal of composure when you're chatting with them. When you're not worried about "closing", you can just go with the flow and have a good time with the women. Don't confuse disinterested with repelled. I never stopped enjoying the sight of a beautiful, well-dressed woman at any point during AM. |
