RE: subs through music - ssh - 10-08-2012 Thanks master, million times perfectionist ! Shannon, with respect to use of ultrasonic on speakers (well this may seem to be the clone of the other post I have posted in another thread....sorry for duplicating but I'm losing time so.... ) it seems to me that my speakers lowest range is considerably high. Playing ultrasonic even at this lowest volume seems to hurt in terms of decibels as I do not feel comfortable as compared to earphones. Is there a problem with my speakers, I really want to measure it in decibels? Secondly TLV's (Threshold limits values for ultrasonic) table states that, here goes the quote - [When the ultrasound source directly contacts the body, the values in the table do not apply. The vibration level at the mastoid bone must be used.] The Link - http://www.osha.gov/dts/osta/otm/noise/health_effects/ultrasonics.html It was posted by Sean in another thread/journal. Thanks RE: subs through music - Shannon - 10-10-2012 (10-08-2012, 07:52 PM)ssh Wrote: Thanks master, million times perfectionist ! It sounds like there may be a problem. Measuring it in decibels from the speaker, I'm not sure how you would do. RE: subs through music - ssh - 10-11-2012 It's the same method that is used to measure noise pollution, nothing else. I just want to make sure if my speakers are producing high volumes even at the lowest range. I want to note down the reading (in decibels) when the decibel meter device is used to test my speakers. |
