I can relate to that feeling. I was a very well paid software consultant. At some point, the work felt like I was doing jail time with their stupid boring and meaningless meeting. Then in 2015, I went to a marketing seminar at Las Vegas. I started my own business part-time and since July 2017, I have fully pulled the plug from my previous software career. My last consulting gig was at Equifax! Ah ah. I got terminated 1 month before the huge scandal did blow up...
but don't get me wrong. I love to work too. I just need to feel the passion to put all the hours into what I am doing. I just found that being my own boss was the way to go for me.
Maybe you need some changes or new challenges to spark the passion again... You'll find out I'm sure!
