OK. Officially on the DMSI train!

Previously been on E2 for a while so hopefully I've had a good on ramp.

I normally use the trickling stream mp3 in the past but noticed the hybrid option.

Apparently the hybrid ultrasonic version is the most powerful - more so than ultrasonic alone (if I read correctly)...

I was planning on listening to DMSI trickling stream / hybrid either in the day time (with headphones) or night time (without speakers).

Is Ultrasonic hybrid NOT recommended for headphone use or is it ok?

Hybrid is fine for headphones. Yay. Go me!

Just ensure that the top end of the frequency response for the headphones is at least 20khz.
