Hi,
I recently lost a job that I'd been going for for years because I had a poor sense of direction. I've had good results with subs before, so I looked for one to help with this, and found absolutely nothing. I can't be the only person to have this problem, so I think a "mental GPS" kind of thing could be a good seller. In order to be helpful it would have to help someone to do the following:
- Be aware of the cardenel directions wether inside and out.
- Read a map and relate it to reality.
- Memorize a route and follow it.
- Mentally keep track of your location at all times.
- Memorize all areas that you have been in before and know how they relate to each other.
Thanks
Sounds to me as if Maximum Learning Speed could be of help to you as a first step. If you are serious about your orientation, you'll learn easily to orient towards the sun etc. After some time you'd probably be easily able to record and replay orientation points in your environment and keep pictures of maps mentally available in your memory.

Or you could externalize the task by use of a smart phone with a navigation app.

On the other hand I'd also be curious to explore a sub which improves overall orientation. Would be interesting to see, if the human body/mind has dormant senses similar to whales, birds and others in the animal kingdom for orientation.
