Subliminal Talk

I know this was brought up in a previous thread but I just wanted to be 100% sure on something.

When itunes randomly renames the subs to "ciccone youth" and "the whitney album", will this have any effect on the audio? The subs are still named on my computer correctly, but have itunes tags as well. They all play fine too - ocean surf sounds like ocean surf, silent is silent etc even though they get renamed in itunes. Probably a stupid question, but anyway lol.

Can anyone clarify this?

iTunes doesn't change the actual audio in the file, it only changes the metadata on the file. You will know if iTunes changes the audio because the file processing will take a much longer period of time.
