hey.

just want to confirm if this speaker is good/standard for ULTRA SONIC?

http://www.jbl.com/images/media/JEMBE_SS_EN.pdf

or i attached a pic here.
they are ok!
According to the Frequency Spec. they are fine. However, I would not recommend these speakers based purely on the auto-off function.

The auto-off function makes them frustrating for regular / PC use. They are good if you want to play a continuous series of sounds (e.g. a movie, or a playlist), but not good for intermittent sound because the speakers switch off automatically. After they have switched off, they switch back on when the next sound is needed, but after an initial delay >> frustrating.

Also, your input device (e.g. your MP3 player or computer) must have the volume set quite high, so that the speakers do not switch off even when in normal use. You have to set your device volume very high, and your speaker volume low.
@Q:

thank you.

i ALMOST bought it yesterday but noticed all the BAD REVIEWS on amazon.

exactly about that auto shut off feature.

*phew*

thank you for your confirmation.

tonight i went out and bought my speaker:
SOUNDFREAQ SOUND KICK
http://soundfreaq.com/store/sound_kick

and read all the AMAZING reviews on it.

so brought my iPod with the Audio Test from Shannon and it passed the test.

HOWEVER, i am still waiting to see if it passed the FREQUENCY RESPONSE
which i think it is 20kHz -- i am waiting for the confirmation from Soundfreaq.

and once i get confirmation, i will post it here.

it is an awesome speaker for $100.

go to amazon and read all the rave reviews and even from some audiophiles.

now, in a day or two, getting my AM6.
