Hi I'm back with another question so let me get right to it :

I was looking about for a source to play my subs from a pen drive, and found a Philips boom box (AZ783/12) that might work good for this. It got a Bass Reflex Speaker System, so I'm not too sure..

lurking though the net trying to find specs on it took some time, and this is what I found :

Amplifier
Frequency Response 125 -16000 Hz, -3dB
Recomended on this site : 20000 Hz

Supported MP3 disc formats
Bit-rates: 32~256 (kbps), variable bit rates
The Subs sold on this site are 320 kbps, so... not supportet I guess.

USB playability information
• USB or memoryfileformat FAT12, FAT16, FAT32 (sectorsize: 512bytes)
• MP3 bitrate (datarate): 32-320 Kbps and variable bit rate
• WMA v9 or earlier
So I guess this is fine ?

The thing that really concerns me here is that the spectrum only can reach 16000 Hz - Is this an isue while playing the silent tracks ?

Also, this is a 200$ box, and I was thinking, if this aint good enough, then what about all the people playing sublims off their Ipods and MP3 players. - How about them ?

Any info/feedback is very welcome !
Yeah... Bad system... And bad investment because I can think of a number of systems around that same price point or up to 300 that are MUCH better.

As for ipods and mp3 players - headphones aren't nearly as expensive for quality sound.
