I have been searching for the answer to a question throughout the forum, to no avail.

Can you use Masked Subliminals in the background while listening to an audiobook or music with headphones? (Both sound sources are coming from an ipod WITH headphones plugged in)

Masked subs rely on volume differencing. They operate at a much lower volume level than the masking sounds you hear. If you have the mask set to play on speakers, and then put earphones in your ears, that act alone is going to reduce the volume of what you hear from the speakers. Then add in additional sounds, and the possible volumetric options there, and the answer is... I don't know. Too many variables I cannot measure. Maybe it would work? Maybe not.

What I can tell you is... I wouldn't do it that way. I would load both tracks up in something like Audacity, and then play them through whatever source simultaneously.
