What are the differences between being self-confident and being alpha?

Self confidence is only one of the many traits of an Alpha Male, but an Alpha Male is not only self-confident, but much more than that (i.e has leadership, maturity, responsibility, etc).

Tiesto said the core of it well. An alpha has a complete package of intersupporting traits that make him or her strong, healthy and effective, while self confidence is just one of those traits.
