1st day of break - It wasn't my intention to write in this journal every day, but... here I go again.
I wanted to thank my Uncle for helping my Mom get her medical records by taking him out for breakfast and filling up his tank with gas. He went to 3 different Doctors to get the medical records she needed.
It is rare that I am a passenger. As the passenger, you can't control how the driver maneuvers the vehicle. I purchased ARA- Anxiety Relief Aid because of my panic attacks while waiting for a red traffic light to turn green.
As my Uncle was driving us to the gas station and the restaurant; I remembered that even as a passenger, I would experience panic attacks at a red traffic light. It was easier to deal with because I could close my eyes until the vehicle started to move.
As we sat at the red traffic light. My Uncle became aware I wasn't listening.
Uncle: What are you looking at??
Me: Everything!!
It was such a pleasure to be a passenger and take it all in!! The different cars, colors, sounds, businesses, and homes. I kept my eyes open the entire time we waited for the red traffic light to turn green!!
Today was payday and most people didn't show up for work. I walked into a chaotic situation. Machines were down, supplies needed to be restocked, inventory was in the wrong areas.
Before ARA- Anxiety Relief Aid, I would be thinking about all the work that had to be done and get stressed out about it.
After ARA- Anxiety Relief Aid, Today was different... I had a list of what needed to be done, I focused on each task, and I marked it off as each task was completed.
Normally there are 4 of us. One guy was off and management sent the other guy on a one hour drive each way to get a part we needed to get a machine up and running. The bossy woman (teammate) was furious that she had to do 2 zones, she was hot, sweaty, and kept telling me she was going to go home whenever we crossed paths.
Maybe it was the vibe I gave off or maybe she saw how well I handled the situation, she decided to stay and finish the shift. We actually got things in order so quickly the Supervisor was impressed and thanked us for a job well done.
