As long as you're using masked versions you can use any speakers you want as long as they are stereo.
So, 5 dollar speakers will work just fine but just make sure there's 2 speakers or else it's mono.
I have really nice speakers hooked up to my TV, but I just play subs through my laptop speakers and they work great so you don't need any special speakers for the masked subs you just have to make sure you have stereo speakers because I believe the way the subs work, there's voices coming through one speaker, and different stuff coming through the other, and some stuff that goes through both (I don't know this it's just a guess) but, as long as there's 2 speakers you're good. (I think 2 speakers means it's stereo but I'm not positive I don't know a lot about speakers)
So, just make sure whatever you buy, you get stereo speakers.
