I do believe that if your lover is romantic, he'll be both romantic and sexual. If you check the script in the Script Library I think it is said that he is both.

Those files work for gay people. I already asked Shannon and he said they were not dependant on the sexual orientation of the user.

Your soul mate, from what I understand, isn't necessarily someone who will become a partner. The soul mate will also not be necessarily a guy. And you may not be ready for your soul mate right now, so he/she may not appear if you're not ready.
