Shannon makes a good suggestion. Read the journals to get a more rounded perspective on what a particular sub can do (different people get different kinds of results).
@Greenduck
I probably shouldn’t use stereotypical labels, but the typical person considers me to be a nerd, etc.
Nerd = my interests are video games, sci-fi, cartoons, anime, comic books, superheroes, role playing, anthropomorphic characters, the undead, reading.
The typical / average person considers people with those interests to be a huge nerd. And I’m okay with being labelled as such.
Socially awkward = I usually say something that creeps people out (even when I think everything is non-creepy). People will regularly suddenly cross their arms, or walk away, or make excuses to avoid talking to me, or tell me bluntly that I said something ‘inappropriate’, etc. And I never know what to say. Whenever I think something is appropriate and comforting, it generally isn’t. People often react in ways that confuse me, or that are completely different from the way I imagine them reacting in situations. Etc.
Weird = I am different from the average / typical person. Didn’t say my first word until 3.5 yo, started my education in ‘special school’ (before being moved to ‘mainstream’), no sexual experience at 31yo, non-drinker / avoid alcohol (this alone gets me plenty of ‘weird’ labels), prefers ‘alternative’ music, some interests that are considered ‘weird’ by others, etc.
When I’m enjoying my interests / hobbies I’m not really thinking that I’m a nerd. It’s only within social contexts that labels come up. People literally say that I’m nerdy, awkward, weird, etc. (so I just adopted the same labels that they use).
LTU 5G helped with ‘pride’ (nerd pride!) and self-acceptance. I really like who I am. Some people tell me that I need to become more ‘normal’, and I think ‘no f*cking way do I want to be ‘normal’. I just want to be me’.
I am working on developing a self-image as a powerful, unique, awesome individual person.
Ok I’m WIth you I like your attitude man, not many people who have the guts to follow their own interests/dreams. Most people just do what other people do. But maybe you could benefit on developing your “neutral” persona it sounds like that at least. So you can blend in when you want to and be yourself when you feel that is appropriate. I would look at doing some energy work and maybe go with E2, but you’ll know that best yourself n take care’
I should probably wait for E3, if it is going to be the same price as E2...
I do have plans to do another E run some time. I also plan to try some ASC 6G, once it is available.
Haven’t yet decided exactly what to run from Feb 2019 and onwards (after I wrap up AYPFWB, and have a quick sub-break).
The main point I was making, is that LTU 5G helped, noticeably, with self-acceptance and being cool with my ‘nerdy’ interests, etc.
I cop a bit of crap over my interests from some people, and these days I’m pretty comfortable having ‘nerdy’ interests.
As for energy work... That sounds like a good idea. I do have more ‘heart chakra’ energy than before.
Actually, that is something that I have noticed post-LTU 5G... more warmth in the ‘heart chakra’.
I do want more ‘Third Eye’ though, since that should help quite a bit with manifestation / law of attraction. (at least that is what I have read in the past about it).
Interesting. The heart chakra is about acceptence (and self acceptance and self love included in that).
I would spontaneously say that you would need lower chakra work. Why people cross their arms is to protect their energy center as you are in some way being needy (by for example have a weak self image and needing their validation of it, even if it’s a negative one like feeling like a “nerd”). By working on your third chakra this can be strengthened but I would recommend working “bottom-up” which is the general rule of thumb in working with your chakras, i.e. starting with root, then sacral and then solar plexus. I’m doing a meditation for the root chakra which are starting to have effects, and I feel that E2 is helping with both root and sacral chakra clearing. And I’m doing cold showers for solar plexus. //rant
