I Found C.O.R.E. Map to be a better fit, I Jumped by leaps and bounds thru the lighthealing.com sessional clearings, so when I did core map(finding your true north and related) I grew,changed and evolved in a year,I found out ,what would take most people 5 to 10 years,thru the clearings WITH LIGHTHEALING, I'd jumped it in one! NO Bull. I did myer's-briggs back in '98 and found 4 years later when I was directed to CORE MAP by one of my life coaches that comparing the two for example,the myer's -briggs gig is like an old school polaroid snap shot of your head, where as C.O.R.E. Map is like a HOLOGRAM of your ENTIRE LIFE... much more sophisticated,updated,well rounded,clearer and fuller view of YOU & your reality and how to change it re-shape n mold it a new. that for me was 13 years ago. its a whole different world now. CORE Map definitely helped. UNDERSTATMENT. Before I started ASC for 32 days and my AM6 program, where I'm about 25% of the way through Stage 5, for interest's sake, I took this test.

I was a Fieldmarshal.

I'm curious to see if I've changed when done AM6. I'll report back, end of next month for comparison sake to see if it's changed.

Do report back on that Catman, I would be very interested to see if you've changed. Though If I had to venture a guess I would think not too much. My opinion has been that ENTJs are a pretty Alpha personality type to begin with, as far as leadership skills go in general. They can have beta characteristics just like any other type but from my experience they aren't as easy to recognize as in other personality types (at least from a man's perspective I guess).

ideally, social life means more than just going out with people. it incorporates the desire an ability to strike up a random conversation with someone in line at the fast food joint. it's the ability to notice when someone you see is not feeling too happy and talking to them and making them smile. I used to have above average social skills a few years ago, and I would be able to chat with any random person just for the fun of it, but I really did a number on that by isolating myself.

I'm ENFP too and this was similar to my story. Did the above average social skills cause the isolation?

I have taken two different tests since this thread and found that I am either 1%E (twice) or 1%I so I am fairly close to neutral. I have also read up on my type and found it to be incredibly close on topics that never even had questions relating in the quizes. I have not had the time to look at the other ones though to see if I have traits of all. Funnily I am very much my star sign.

Also pretty sure that I was always this type now and just isolating myself and answering from there got me th I**J score years back.

from my understanding I consider ENFP as "ambivert", although I hate that term because it blurs the line between extrovert and introvert. ENFP is known to be extroverted in social settings, but requires time to recharge very similarly to the introvert. so getting sucked into isolation is a very real possibility, especially when "i need some alone time" becomes the standard modus operandum.

In my experience, there's a lot of guilt and shame for the way I was living the past few years, so that has a lot to do with why I isolated myself. Fear of judgment by others crept its way in, and deeming myself as unfit for life in society didn't help either.

I do have reservations about getting intimate with anyone, however. I'm not sure if it's related to being ENFP or not, but I definitely have a fear of getting close to anyone either romantically or friendly. Either because I don't want to be hurt or because I don't want to hurt anyone.

I've been told that people appreciate the fact they can be around me but not have to be interacting with me, and not feel awkward at all. ENFP trait?

lol i took this test again, thinking i might have changed since starting BASE, but i took the test on both the websites suggested in the OP. I am ENFP on the first one, and ENFP-T on the second one.

So, I didn't change at all (MBTI wise). But after reading my previous post, I realize HOW MUCH I GREW in a year and a half lol. That's pretty awesome for sure

Just because I'm more confident and extroverted doesn't mean I'm not an INFP anymore. I still have strong personal values, they've just changed since I've used subs. That's it, subs change your personality, but they don't change your type. Think about it. If you literally went from something like an INFP to an ENTP... you'd be going from using FI to TI. It took you years to develope your dominant and secondary cognitive functions, if it were even possible to change types you would basically become a human toddler because you'd have to start over.

I think it's very much possible to change types, providing that to a point you've been suppressing your more natural tendencies (or you start to, probably)

I know I would have made a hell of a mess had I started to exhibit my ENTP tendencies in high school. And I was basically raised to follow the rules by an ISFJ mother.

Anyway, that 16personalities test always gets me as ESTP for some reason, as opposed to 7-8 others who test me as ENTP. (which I agree with a lot more)

Former MBTI-Certified Professional. It's not really possible to change types (theoretically). The MBTI is not a "personality test," it's a cognitive functions test. It measures the way your brain is wired to absorb, dissect and categorize information. Your secondary functions can be developed with effort, and that's why your scores are changing. The cheap online tests are lacking certain redundancies to ensure an accurate score. For example, the more expensive, official test will ask you the same question 5 times, worded 5 different ways because people will sometimes lie, or interpret a question in a odd way, throwing off the results.

Also, you can temporarily change types when you're under stress. That's because your secondary functions will manifest as your dominant functions -- but when you're in that state, you'll pretty much hate your life. For example, INFPs -- in a crisis situation, they tend to turn into really f*cking annoying SJ's. They'll get the job done, but it'll be hell.

For those of you who think that you're "just developing your J" and thus turning from an INTP to an INTJ (for example), that's not true. INTP's and INTJ's have COMPLETELY DIFFERENT cognitive functions.
