I don't know whether people know or heard about this. "Rome Sweet Rome" started off as a short story on reddit and I believe the short story was bought off reddit by a film company and the plan was to turn it into a movie.
It was to be a science fiction movie describing what might happen if a group of US Marines were accidently transported back to the time of the Roman Empire and end up clashing with the roman legions.
